Motivation through 'Discipline'?!

When did learning stop being engaging?

Learning has always been engaging; School on the other hand...

Does this New York Times article really need a response?

  1. the thing that strikes me about this article is that it removes any motivation for teachers to engage or motivate their students. effectively, one can be a really bad teacher again - motivation is "outsourced" to disciplinary measures. appalling.
